The Oppo Enco Air3 Pro is here, and it’s an improved version of its predecessor. It costs ₹4,999 and comes with several upgrades. This new model promises better specifications and performance, along with support for advanced Bluetooth features and bamboo-fibre diaphragms for better sound.

Design

The design of the Oppo Enco Air3 Pro looks quite similar to the previous model. The earpieces have a stem design with ‘L’ and ‘R’ markings and now come in a fresh green color. Unlike the basic Enco Air earphones, the Pro version fits snugly in your ears, making it better for blocking out noise. They’re lightweight, comfy, and come with different-sized silicone ear tips.

You can control these earphones by touching the top of the earpiece stems. This touch-sensitive area lets you do things like control playback, adjust noise cancellation, use voice assistants, and change the volume. These earphones have an IP55 rating, which means they can handle dust and light rain during workouts.

The charging case has the Oppo logo and a USB Type-C port at the bottom, but it doesn’t have a pairing button. To pair the earphones, you need to touch both earpieces simultaneously for a few seconds.

These earphones also have some cool features like Google Fast Pair support, Oppo Alive Audio for surround sound, and Golden Sound for personalized sound adjustments based on your hearing.

Connectivity/App

The Enco Air3 Pro has an app that you can customize based on your device. If you have an Oppo or OnePlus phone, you’ll find the app in the Bluetooth settings. For other devices, you can use the HeyMelody app, which works on both iOS and Android.

Performance

What sets the Enco Air3 Pro apart is its bamboo-fibre diaphragms. Most earphones use metal diaphragms, but these use bamboo for better sound quality. They have 12.4mm dynamic drivers, a frequency response range of 20-40,000Hz, and a sensitivity rating of 107dB. They connect via Bluetooth 5.3 and support SBC, AAC, and LDAC Bluetooth codecs.

The LDAC codec, especially on Android devices, makes a big difference in sound quality compared to AAC on iOS. The bamboo fibre drivers are great, but the real improvement comes from software enhancements like LDAC support and the Golden Sound profile.

In terms of sound quality, the Enco Air3 Pro is excellent for budget wireless earphones. The combination of advanced Bluetooth and soundstage creates clear and detailed audio. Even at higher volumes, you’ll get a spacious soundstage, especially with tracks like Dua Lipa’s Dance the Night. The Golden Sound enhancement fine-tunes the audio based on your hearing profile. However, the highs can be a bit too strong at high volumes.

ANC & Call Quality

The active noise cancellation works well indoors, reducing background noise for better listening. The in-ear fit also helps block out noise, and you can adjust the ANC modes for different situations. The mild mode is best indoors, while the other modes are less effective outdoors.

For earphones in this price range, the call quality is good. It’s respectable indoors and remains acceptable outdoors.

Battery

The battery life of the Oppo Enco Air3 Pro is decent for its price. With ANC and LDAC enabled, you can get around 15 to 16 hours of listening on a single charge.
